I am primarily a fiction writer. My work has appeared in publications including The White Review, The Australian, and The Best Australian Science Writing 2014 anthology. My story “Popular Mechanics” was shortlisted for The White Review‘s annual short story award in 2013 and my manuscript A Minor Fifth was shortlisted for the Vogel Award in 2016. Aside from my own writing, I dabble in translation and music. I have taught English and Creative Writing at the University of Queensland and currently teach at Oxford University in the Department of Continuing Education and Wadham College’s Sarah Lawrence Programme.
